A man is dead after being crushed by a lorry while crossing a north London road.
Medics battled to save the man, said by passers-by to be in his late 50s, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened in Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield, at about 2.20pm, police confirmed.
The man’s next of kin have yet to be tracked down.

Paul Smith told the Standard: “It looked like he’d tried to cross the road and was dragged underneath the lorry.
“The driver was unaware what had happened. It took a passer-by to bang on the side of the lorry to alert him.”
Photographs from the scene show a blue Globetrotter model lorry with a white police tent in the road beside it.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The man was treated but died at the scene.
“No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Bullsmoor Lane, the A1055, was shut both ways near the junction with Great Cambridge Road in the aftermath of the collision.
