A middle-aged man was left impaled on a metal railing after plunging from a window in east London.

The man, thought to be in his 40s, was rushed to hospital after the fall in Bow in the early hours of this morning.

“We treated a man, believed to be in his 40s, for leg injuries.

“He was taken as a priority to the Royal London Hospital.”
