Three schoolgirls who had been missing in north London for nearly two weeks have been found safe and well, Scotland Yard has said.
Fardowsa Hassan, 13, Abir Salah, 16 and her sister Ahlam, 15, from Wood Green, were found separately by Haringey police officers in the early hours of Friday. Hassan and Abir Salah were reported missing on 6 December and Ahlam on 12 December.
Police previously said they believed the girls were sleeping on buses or elsewhere on the London transport network.
It is the second time the girls had run away from home in four weeks. The three went missing in similar circumstances on 13 and 15 November and were found safe and well on 20 November. At that time, too, police said they believed the teenagers were sleeping on the transport network.
